Rosalie Sutton
THE AUTHOR
I am Rosalie Sutton, a Jane Austen enthusiast and fan fiction author. Rosalie is a pen name I write under to keep a clear boundary between my stories and my personal life.
My interest in Austen began with Pride and Prejudice. Captivated by Elizabeth's wit and Darcy's complexity, I soon discovered the vibrant world of variations and started writing my own. I love exploring new paths, obstacles, and possibilities for Austen's characters.
Today, I write for fellow Austen readers. I create stories that honour the spirit, language, and humour of the originals while exploring enduring love, courage, and second chances.
The Regency Way
If you're anything like me, you've fallen in love with Jane Austen's world and want to understand it more deeply: the constraints, the economics, the social rules, the daily realities that shaped Elizabeth Bennet's choices.
At The Regency Way, I explore those questions through posts about Regency life: fashion, economics, social customs, daily life, and the history that made Austen's stories possible.
I'm a history enthusiast and a devoted Jane Austen fan, and I approach every topic with genuine curiosity about how people actually lived during the Regency era.
The Regency World: Deep-dives into the real history behind the stories.
Jane Austen Variations: Short "what if" stories, where your vote decides what I write next.
Stillroom Recipes: Recipes from the Regency stillroom: food and drink, cordials, preserves, and remedies.
Author Updates: Behind-the-scenes news on my novels, including bonus chapters found nowhere else.
